The University of Nairobi’s Research Week 2020 officially kicks off from Oct.  12 to 16. 

The annual research event will bring together over 1,000 researchers, scholars, students, and practitioners covering a diverse range of disciplines.

“Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we will hold this year’s conferences virtually and participants will for the first time interact virtually,” says Prof. Madara Ogot, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Enterprise.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences will be hosting a number of conferences during the event.  The School of Business will for instance host the 11th African International Business and Management (AIBUMA) conference under the theme ; “Behaviour : Beyond Technology and Innovations. The School of Business will also host the Annual Development Finance Conference (ADFC) under the theme, “‘Environmental Finance and Sustainable Development Goals’

The African Women’s Studies Centre (AWSC) on the other hand will hold a conference with the theme: “Women, Climate Change, Environment and Technology”

The department of literature will host a conference under the theme; “Eastern African Literatures in the 21st Century: Achievements, Challenges, and Perspectives”

CHSS will also present the 3rd Annual International Multi-Disciplinary Conference 2020 under the theme: “Global and Local Response to Emerging Issues in the Second Decade of the Millennium: Opportunities and Threats.”
